Dallas, TX – February 18, 2003 – Stoneeagle.com has released the industry’s first Real Time Service Contract Rate Calculator with Seamless Interface into ADP Dealer Management Systems. The Rate Calculator eliminates costly rating errors that result from the use of hard copy Rate Charts. Now F&I Personnel can quickly and accurately price Service Contracts prior to printing paperwork and customer signature. This allows F&I Managers to maintain their Gross Profit, eliminating Administrator Statement charges that can exceed $3,000 monthly to correct rating errors. Additionally, with Stoneeagle.com’s Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Service Contract Administrators receive contracts electronically in real time, eliminating data entry and administrative processing.
How It Works – The Stoneeagle.com Rate Calculator utilizes a new customized screen on the ADP DMS System that interfaces with Administrators’ Rating Systems. Instead of looking at the Rate Chart and inputting a Warranty Premium in the F&I Screen, the F&I Manager simply selects from the Plans and Terms available for the vehicle being sold. Behind the scene, the Stoneeagle.com Rating Hub has obtained the specific Plans and Rates directly from the Service Contract Administrator’s system and loaded those Plans and Rates in the dealers ADP System.
Benefits to Dealers - Rating errors occur on 30% of all Service Contracts. These errors result in $12 to $18 lost gross per contract when averaged across all contracts sold. This $12 to $18 is paid to the Administrator when statements are reconciled in the following month, and represents Lost Gross Profit. When F&I Personnel obtain an accurate rate with the Rate Calculator, they can retain that Gross Profit by changing the Premium charged to the customer or offering a lower cost Plan or Term.
Benefits to Administrators and Agents – Administrators reduce administrative costs with Eliminated Data Entry. Both Administrators and Agents avoid the hassle of reconciling and collecting for rating errors.
“The Rate Calculator is a significant addition to the host of technology solutions offered by Stoneeagle.com to meet the Dealers, Administrators and Agents,” said Jim Hall of Service Life and Casualty. “It allows us to operate more efficiently, reduce costly errors for our dealers, and more importantly secure dealer loyalty by offering a value-added technology solution to our customer base.”
“ADP excels at meeting the needs of auto dealers,” said Cindy Allen, VP of Stoneeagle.com. “We are very excited to have developed a sophisticated, seamless interface between dealers’ ADP Systems and Stoneeagle.com’s Rating Hub.”
